Review by hotel critic
Sukhothai City Resort is a hidden gem that truly exceeds expectations, making it a delightful retreat in the heart of Thailand's historical treasures. My partner and I were warmly welcomed by the owner, who not only provided us with a smooth check-in but also took the initiative to curate a personalized itinerary for exploring Sukhothai Historical Park. The breakfast was a delightful start to our mornings, featuring fresh fruits and pastries that we enjoyed on our terrace while soaking in the lush gardens around us. The atmosphere is so tranquil that it felt like a soothing escape from the bustling tourist trail. We adored our lovely cabin, which was a perfect blend of comfort and local artistry. We even had the chance to rent bikes right there and embark on adventures through the nearby temples with ease! It's the personal touch—like the owner going out of her way to ensure our comfort and safety—that makes Sukhothai City Resort special. For anyone looking to indulge in the natural beauty of the region while staying close to historical wonders, this charming resort is undoubtedly worth a visit. We can't wait to share stories over a cup of Ceylon tea in our plantations back home, inspired by this beautiful stay.
